Last year, I went on a roadtrip to Hat Yai with my family! And I was really excited because it has been a very long time since my last vacation. This trip felt very special to me. Before the trip, my father had already exchanged around 10,000 baht, which is about RM1000 something. Since I was staying at my hostel, I packed all my clothes and other important things earlier because we were going to leave two days later.
On the day of the trip, we started our journey at around 11 p.m. The journey to Hat Yai took around 6 to 7 hours. Thankfully, the trip was smooth even though there was a little traffic along the way. We stopped at an R&R for a while to eat something because the journey was still long. When we arrived at the border, we had to go through immigration to get our passports stamped before entering Thailand. After that, we finally arrived in Danok at around 7 a.m., Thailand time. We stopped there for breakfast before continuing our journey to our hotel.
We stayed at Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel, which is located in a very busy area. I was surprised because there were many stalls and shops under the hotel at night, and there was also a mall connected to the hotel. After checking in, we rested for a while before going out again in the evening.
Later that day, we went to eat a restaurant and ordered tomyam. Honestly, Thai tomyam tastes different from the tomyam in Malaysia. In my opinion, Malaysian tomyam tastes better and suits my taste more. After eating, we continued walking around the Lee Garden area. There were many shops selling elephant pants, souvenir stores, and massage place. We also bought banana pancake from a street stall, and it tasted really good 😋. At night, the area became very lively and crowded. I was surprised because many Thai people there could speak Mala. Since my legs were hurting from walking too much, I decided to get a foot massage. It felt very ticklish, and I almost laughed during the massage.
The next day, we rode a tuktuk and bought souvenirs. We also went to see elephants, and on the way there, we even saw elephants walking near the road. Besides that, we visited Songkhla which is Samila Beach and stopped by a mosque there. The place was beautiful and peaceful.

On our last day, we ate dimsum and stopped at 7-Eleven to but snacks and burgers before going home. Overall, this trip was very fun and memorable because it had been a long time since I travelled far with mt family. thats it!! thank yewww 😚😚
