This year, my housemates and I planned to have iftar together again just like we did last year. We left from Unisel around 6:30 p.m. and everyone was already excited because we had been planning this outing for quite some time. The journey to Puncak Alam was filled with laughter, random conversations, and lots of happy moments together. Even though the roads were quite busy because it was almost time to break fast, we still managed to arrive at the restaurant around 7:15 p.m. Luckily, everything went smoothly and we did not have to rush too much.
That day, we chose to break our fast at P&C Kitchen Puncak Alam because it is known as a nice and comfortable place to eat and hang out with friends. As soon as we arrived, we went straight to our reserved table since we had already made an early booking. During Ramadan, restaurants are usually very crowded, so booking earlier was definitely the best decision. The staff had already prepared and arranged all the food nicely on the table before we arrived. Everything looked neat, appetizing, and ready for iftar. We only had to wait a few minutes before the Maghrib azan started, and the atmosphere at that moment felt very peaceful and heartwarming.
For my meal, I ordered fried rice with chicken chop because I had been craving it for quite a while. One of my friends ordered spaghetti carbonara with chicken chop, while another friend ordered a lamb chop set with chicken chop and mantao. All the food portions were just nice and very worth the price. Once the azan began, we immediately started eating while chatting and joking with each other. Even though the food was really delicious, I think the most meaningful part was simply being able to break fast together with people I truly care about.
After dinner, we went to Eco Grandeur Park to take some pictures because the place looked beautiful and perfect for night OOTD photos. However, we did not really manage to walk far or explore many spots because everyone was already feeling tired and exhausted. We only managed to take photos at a few nearby places. Even so, it was still fun because we spent most of the time laughing, helping each other take pictures, and enjoying the moment together. Sometimes, even if the photos are not perfect or taken in many places, the memories themselves are what truly matter.
That night, I also received a very sweet surprise from my roommate. She gave me and two of my other friends a “Museum of Us” gift that is currently trending. Usually, people associate sweet surprises like that with boyfriends, but honestly, my roommate was even sweeter. I felt really touched because I did not expect her to prepare something special for us. To me, small gestures like that mean a lot because they show sincerity and appreciation in a friendship.
Another friend of mine also surprised us with blind boxes. The gift felt even more meaningful because it was one of my last days staying at college before the next semester begins. Next semester, she will be commuting from home to university, so the moment felt a little emotional for all of us. We excitedly did the unboxing together to see which colors we got. I received the white one, while my friends got orange-white and purple versions, and they all looked really cute.
After finishing the unboxing session, we took more pictures together as memories. We took individual photos, duo photos, and group pictures while laughing at each other’s poses and results. Even though time passed very quickly, we tried our best to enjoy every single moment together. I know those pictures will become beautiful memories that we can look back on in the future. Sometimes, the simplest moments with close friends end up becoming the most precious memories in life.
After spending time at the park, we decided to go to llaollao since it was located very nearby. We arrived there around 9:15 p.m., and the place was still quite crowded with people hanging out with their friends and families. I ordered chocolate-flavored for llaollao topping and my two friends ordered the same flavor as well.
At the end of the night, we finally headed home. I followed one of my friends because my house is located near hers, while another friend went home with someone who lived close to her area. During the ride back, I felt very grateful for the chance to create another beautiful memory with my housemates and close friends. Last year we managed to have iftar together, and this year we were still able to spend Ramadan moments together again. I truly hope our friendship lasts for a very long time and that we will have the chance to break fast together again in the future.
